Security of data
Customer data is encrypted, and signing keys live in the device’s own secure hardware — not on a server we control.
Access is enforced at the row level in the database, so each person can only ever read their own records.
Holding company · Mogadishu
Maysara Group is the holding company that builds and runs six operating businesses — payments, identity, commerce, property, mobility and the land record — on one shared backbone.
The portfolio
Each company stands on its own, but all six share one security model, one identity layer and one ledger.
By the numbers
We keep the two apart: what is working today, and what we are still building. We do not present one as the other.

From the founder
Abdirauf Omar
Founder & Chief Executive, Maysara Group
When you look at East Africa as it is today — 300 million people, broken infrastructure, an economy missing most of its parts — you cannot understand it with tools designed for somewhere else.
For a long time the answer was: wait. Wait for the international bank, the foreign company, the plan sent from abroad. We waited. Not much came.
Maysara Group is built on a different premise: every Somali is owed modern tools, systems that can be relied on, and a digital economy not fenced in by borders. That is not something to wait for. It has to be built.

Governance
We build to global standards — because we serve people for whom this money is everything they have.
Customer data is encrypted, and signing keys live in the device’s own secure hardware — not on a server we control.
Access is enforced at the row level in the database, so each person can only ever read their own records.
Financial operations follow the law of the country they run in. We do not offer a money service in a country where we are not permitted to.
We are working towards connecting to Somalia’s national instant payment system (SIPS) with the Central Bank.
Every movement of money is written to a record that cannot be deleted. Nothing is edited — entries are only ever added.
Every transfer is a two-phase commit, so if it fails part-way the money is never stranded — it can always be reversed.
We design for the person with a basic phone as much as the person with a new one — in clear Somali, not translated English.
Somali is the first language of every product in the group, not an afterthought bolted on later.
Partnership & investment
Government, bank, international institution or investor — we work with people who believe East Africa is being built now.
